The Paper Bag Christmas

I recently finished reading the book "The Paper Bag Christmas" by Kevin Alan Milne. I have never read a book like this one that had moved me tears and made me smile at the same time. The story is so charming and so meaningful. I truly want to have a paper bag Christmas myself. The book left me feeling inspired to share the true meaning of Christmas.

The story follows a boy at the age on nine name Molar and his older brother named Alan. Through the story they get the opportunity to receive a Christmas present that they "never" asked for. Though they had a large list of things that they did want for Christmas Santa promised if they helped him they would receive a much greater present than one that they had on their list. Molar and Alan found themselves volunteering to the help Santa who is actually a pediatric oncologist at Hospital. The older boy Alan's task is to befriend Madhu who needs an organ transplant while Molar is charged with befriending a girl named Katrina who is hiding from the world the scars and hurt from her cancer.

This book is actually the first novel written by Kevin Alan Milne and I was actually quite surprised that is was! The writing is superior and beautifully done. I can't wait to read the books he comes out with next.

The story has such a beautiful ending. One that made me cry and rejoice. I encourage everyone to read this book this holiday season and see if you can have a paper bag Christmas yourself!

Did you know that American Eagle Outfitters has come out with a kids clothing line. The prices aren't bad at all either. I have found some pieces that I am definitely getting my daughter for Christmas, one of them is this cute ruffle sweater. I love living in a colder climate because know I can buy the cute winter clothes!

Restoration Hardware

I was so excited when I heard that Restoration Hardware was coming out with a baby/kid line. I love the look and would love for my daughters room to look like this one! If I could I would buy my entire home from them.

Toddler Bedding

I would love this bedding set for my daughters room from Genes. I need to buy her toddler bedding soon and I think I found the one I want!

Freddy & Ma

I love to go on the website Freddy & Ma. On there you can make your own plates, purses and pillows! How cool is that. I spend a lot of time on there just going through all of the patterns and trying them with the items I pick to see what they would look like. I might have to order some plates for Thanksgiving or Christmas!

Wall Paper

I am not a Wallpaper person at all. I would definitely rather paint a wall then hang Wallpaper. Until I saw this Handmade Wallpaper. I so want this in my bedroom on one wall!

I love the pillows at Anna Whitford They are so cute and modern, when I get the guest room all set up I am definitely going to get some of these since I can make that room girly :)

The Container Store

The Container Store is one of my favorite stores to shop at. I love all of the different things they have to make your life a little more organized. When I saw this item that helps you fold your laundry perfectly I fell in love with it! I know it is really lame to love something that has to do with laundry but it would make all of your clothes so nice looking if they were folded using this.

Sharma Designs

I love the jewelry at Sharma Designs. I have ordered a couple of pairs of earrings from there and I love them!

I love the online store Porridge so I was really excited to see that they came out with a bedding collection. Of course I love it, if I were single and didn't have to share my bed with a dirty boy I would so buy these!

Fossil

I adore Fossil they always have cute stuff ranging from purses, clothes and watches. This dress is on my wish list.

How cool would it be to have this phone from Pedlars! I love the phones from the 50's, I have the newer version from Pottery Barn but I would still like this one.

Red Dress
